Leaving home again
It's apparently hard for me to stay in one place for too long. My Physician's Assistant/Masters in Public Health dual degree program in D.C. starts in May and this was my last opportunity to travel before it gets much harder to do so with my studies holding me down for the next 3 years. I've always wanted to learn Spanish (especially since it'll be useful in the medical field) and what better way to do so than by fully immersing myself in the Spanish culture? So off I go to Antigua, Guatemala for the month to live with a host family and take a 4 hour/day intensive language learning course while hopefully taking advantage of my free time to explore some of the sights of this beautiful Central American country. I think my on-the-move lifestyle is slowly giving my mother an aneurysm... Love you, Mom. Remember: you raised me to be this way!
